Hello Music Boosters and families,
 
Our meeting this month has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 27th at 7:30 pm.  It will be in room 156 instead of the MPR.  Please join us as we discuss current music events and make plans to staff our Music Booster Association for the 2019 – 2020 school year.
 
Below is a list of our Music Booster Association positions and openings.  Please review the openings and let us know if you are interested in serving as a committee chair or co-chair next year.  If your name is listed for a position and you are no longer interested in serving, please let us know before the meeting on February 27th.
 
WE NEED TO FILL ALL OF THE POSITIONS LISTED BELOW IN ORDER TO ADEQUATELY SERVE THE STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE MUSIC PROGRAMS IN OUR DISTRICT.  POSITIONS THAT REMAIN UNFILLED COULD IMPACT THE COST AND THE STUDENTS’ ABILITY TO ATTEND FUTURE TRIPS OR EVENTS.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!

MARCHING BAND

*This chair person will help with the fitting, distribution and collection of marching band uniforms. This is needed at the beginning of the season (during band camp), at the end of the season in November, and again in May priorto the Memorial Day parade.

*A co-coordinator is needed to help plan, organize and run the annual Marching Band Home Show in September.  Planning begins in March and runs throughout the summer.

Music Booster officers, coordinators, liaisons, and chairpersons are expected to attend monthly Music Booster Association meetings to present updates.  (If a chair cannot attend, s/he may send an update via email to a member of the Executive Council.)

On behalf of the SPF Jazz Festival Committee we’d like to invite you to the
Annual SPF Jazz Festival which will be held on FRIDAY 2/22/19 at
TERRILL MIDDLE SCHOOL. The festival will showcase six bands, including
our own SPF Jazz. We will be offering food for purchase to the bands and
visitors while our SPF Jazz musicians will receive a ticket for a free meal.
